Daniel was discharged from the hospital yesterday (Thursday) afternoon. Laura had a three hour meeting with the home health nurse yesterday as he went through all of the initial information and trained her how to care for the PICC line and administer Daniel's antibiotic. Laura has to give Daniel his IV antibiotics every eight hours.
Its been a long month for Laura and the whole family. Please continue to pray for them. Pray that Laura is able to get the rest that she needs so she can continue caring for her family and pray God's will in the whole situation!

Daniel is to have the PICC line for two weeks at home and it will be a tiring time for Laura. She's decided not to let anyone in their house now and is not taking Daniel anywhere besides his doctor visits to minimize the chances of infection. I so understand how she is feeling with that because my daughter was on a PICC line for a month about a year ago. Its stressful. But God is still in CONTROL!

Learned of Daniel from Nate Lawrenson's blog. Have been praying for Daniel and the entire family since before Daniel's surgery. Will continue to keep Daniel and the entire family in our prayers. Love, Betty Gallagher
Just checking in and so glad to hear good news for Daniel!! Praise GOD! Please be praying for my friend Isaiah. He has surgery March 4th. He has apert syndrome and is having his most delicate, complex and invasive cranial surgery to date. Email me for the link to his mom's blog!

Hi Gina,
Daniel has a seizure disorder and the surgery was supposed to correct that - but there was a 15% chance that it wouldn't. I don't think the infection had anything to do with his seizures, but I will ask and post about it if it did.
One other thing - Do you know Vince Antonucci? I used to go to church with him and Jen years back. I doubt they remember me though.
