Not My Baby, But Precious

A couple days after my friend, Lynetta gave birth to John 4 lbs 13 oz and James 5 lbs 8 oz, I was privileged to visit her and the boys at the hospital with another friend. Since John was able to come out of the isolette while we visited in the NICU, Lynetta asked if I would like to hold him. What a joy it was to hold a baby at the same gestational age as the one I carry within... While I was holding precious little John, my baby got feisty and started kicking him and he kicked right back. I told Lynetta that our babies were already fighting.

Here is a picture of James in his isolette.

Continue to pray for Lynetta, Aaron, John and James as they adapt to each other and develop their routines.

I thought immediately this was your baby. . . .I can't believe how quickly I was ready to cry. I didn't realize how much I've grown to love your family! Be so blessed

Sweet baby. Wonderful to hold it when it is the same age as yours.

Hi Carol - Can't wait until I'm holding my own little one.

As for the Christmas music - I found at least one that annnoys me - so I took it off and added some others.

Life Adapted - I titled it not my baby because I didn't want to confuse people, but I'm sure it still could with my due date fast approaching. Lynetta and I were due on the same day, so it was fun to share our pregnancy up until she delivered at 34 weeks.

I appreciate you and your friendship even though its long distance.

Papa - Yes, all babies are precious :) - fearfully and wonderfully made!

Queen - There was something so neat knowing that my baby within was about the same size as little John when I held him. Such little miracles. Now its just waiting here. OH and wishing my house was clean... It is at night (you know bedtime) and then the morning comes...

Hi Moms - Keep me in your prayers - this Robin who will soon "hatch" her young is in major nesting... My feet, ankles and hands were swollen when I got up this morning. I still have much to do, but I'm going to try to rest a bit today. Only 15 days until my due date...

Yes, they are precious! I've been updating about them in the post where I listed the prayer request for Lynetta when her water broke. The post went up in October.

I can't wait to meet my little miracle! 15 Days until my due date...

Tiffany, I just checked the post was on October 28th and I've updated in the comments section every time Lynetta has given me updates for our church.

Robin - My grandaughter is expecting anytime now. Dr. ruptured the membrane Thursday and will induce on Monday if she hasn't gone into labor by then. Every time the phone rings, I expect news...but so far nothing.
In the Lord's time!! Thanks for asking. I'll be looking for your news also. :)
Hugs.

How exciting! :)
Last week at church I was holding someone else's baby and at least two people came up to me and said, "Oh, you delivered one of the babies already?" (They were definitely kidding, though, since the baby I was holding was a 7-month-old and a girl! ;))

Thanks for your post on my blog. The boys and I are doing pretty well physically; another appointment tomorrow morning to chekc things out for sure. I can't believe how close you are getting to your due date! Too exciting!! How are you feeling?

Hi Faith!

My doctor's appointments are weekly now and I see the doc on Tuesday. I'm feeling pretty good just really tired. Main problem is I can't get comfortable to sleep and then of course there are the incessant runs to the bathroom. Just getting me ready for those middle of the night feedings again. I'm excited 13 days to go...

Thanks Jel! I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving too! 11 days and counting...

I'm not going to make a Thanksgiving meal this year because my feet are swelling and my back hurts and I'm trying to rest and cooking for hours on end doesn't seem like the thing to do. I told Rick that I'd make a Thanksgiving dinner in the new year sometime.
