Update on Daniel from Laura

Daniel got his PICC Line out on Wed. March 5. He had a seizure right there in the doctors office after she pulled it out. Daniel had three seizures on this day and the third seizure was so bad at 8:00 p.m. at night that I gave Daniel his Diastat (rectal valium) to stop the seizure. Daniel has good days and bad days. I count it all as a blessing from God because Daniel is such a beautiful gift from God. Daniel's heart is so pure, Daniel is fearfully and wonderfully made by God.

I am truly blessed that we have had so many people praying for little Daniel and our family. Everyone's prayers have helped to sustain us and have given us so much hope and encouragement to know that we have so many brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus praying for us.

It is only by the grace of God that any of us can get through it all whatever it is that each one of us is going through.

As my dear prayer warrior sister in Christ (Jerri Phillips) said after she left her doctors office pertaining to her heart condition: "and I left his office with the smell of dust and rubble in my nose." "Jericho was down".

Hugs to all my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.

Tell Laura she is an amazing woman. I know God will not give us more than we can handle, and sometimes it is easier to handle it when you are in it than if you are just hearing about it. I just cannot imagine watching a child go through that. Laura and Daniel and their family are in my prayers.

Thanks for the update. I will pray for them all tonight, and for the doctors to have wisdom as to the next step.

It is encouraging to me as a mother to know and see the strength God gives to our human frailty. "What is impossible with man is possible with God." What we would normally label as "too much," He enables us to bear. Reminds me of Paul's words:

"We are hard pressed on every side, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed - always carrying about in our body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body... so that death is working in us, but life in you...
Therefore we do not lose heart, even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being restored day by day... we do not look at the things which are seen, but the things which are not seen...

Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is GOD..." from 2 Cor. 4 and 5

Blessings,
Jen
