Midpoint Sonogram

This morning my family and I went for the midpoint sonogram. It's hard to believe we are at the halfway point now. The sonogram was quick because the technician said the baby was cooperative. The technician was actually running almost an hour behind before he saw me and said that he made up a lot of time with my appointment since the baby posed appropriately. He said that everything looks terrific and that we have a healthy baby. The pictures taken today (19 weeks) were a bit fuzzy (ok not even anywhere near true - they are incomprehensible) in my opinion, but I will scan and post one from today anyhow.
July 16 (19 weeks)

Since the sonogram from today is so hard to interpret, I'm going to share one from June 19th (15 weeks) also, since its a bit easier to see and I feel I owe you something with the title saying "Sonogram."

Please continue to pray for the rest of the pregnancy and for a quick safe delivery. Because of the rod along side my spine epidurals are not even an option. I've been blessed with two quick labors and am hoping for the same this time. Of course as I said before I don't want it to be so quick that I end up having a baby on the interstate so any number of people could see my face on the local news. I had my first baby 6 hours after arriving at the hospital (I wasn't in labor - it was just a precautionary thing because the plan was to induce me in the morning). My second child was born almost 2 hours after arriving at the hospital. We have a different insurance this time and the hospital isn't five miles from home like the last two times. The time the little one decides to bless us with his or her presence will let us know whether its a 20 minute drive to the hospital or a two hour drive (crazy traffic during rush hour). If this one is like the other two it will be born late at night which will eliminate the traffic issues. I guess we will have to wait and see!

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!

The sonogram isn't fuzzy, there is just two or three baby's in the sonogram and hard to see just one, thats why you may think it is fuzzy,

Jel - thanks for your well wishes and your prayers.

Carol - Yes, I'm excited! I get to be there for a miracle in the making - Wow! Its so amazing to know that a living baby is growing within... Wow!

Thanks Erin - I like your comment "appropriately timed labor" :) gives me enough time to get to the hospital and not enough to cause too much discomfort...

I wish you could be here too Jessica :) You know the kids would LOVE it! December is going to crawl and fly at the same time. I don't want to ignore any part of this pregnancy. I want it all to be special, but at the same time I can't wait to meet the little bundle... So when are you and Jake coming to visit? Pressure intended :)

Awwww, Robin, I am so happy for you and your dear family! I think the sonno is awesome! I can see the sweet little baby in it, and I can tell whether it's a boy or girl too, but I'm not saying! (justtttt kidding **smile**)...You are definitely in my prayers and thoughts. :) Much love to you, Linda oxo

Robin said...

Linda, you are so cute - you can tell - haha how can you see anything in that first sonogram? I sure can't. The second picture is actually older and they said they couldn't tell then :)

Thanks for your love, friendship and prayers!

God is good. So glad everything is going well. One of our very intelligent and scholarly pastors has said that the makeup of the soul comes from the parents. I think I sort of knew that, but I hadn't thought of it that way. That's why the little two-celled person is really a person when it first starts out--the soul is there. Amazing.

Queen - you know that's sort of frightening in a way...when I think of my own flaws and shortcomings, etc...

But God is good and He can work miracles...

I love to look at any kind of baby pictures! I could see the baby in the first pic. I imagine that I can see the baby anyway. And she/he looks right on track. (it's always good to have a second opinion) lol :) Remember you are busy making a baby and need your food and rest!

Robin said...

Thanks for your second opinion Julie :) The tech actually gave me tons of pictures. Several of arms and legs and head, etc., but just one of the whole body - the original wasn't much better, but some better than what ended up posted. When I look at my copy it almost looks like a little old man's profile (face) and the arms and legs are kicking around making it blurry. It's still overly cool and quite amazing. My daughter's 20 week sonogram was incredible. My son's was similar to what I got yesterday. The sonogram tech said that my son turned out ok even though his sonogram pictures were blurry and that this one would be fine too :) I love a sense of humor.

I'm getting the food easily (too easily) enough, its the rest that's more challenging. I wake several times a night to visit the restroom (no resting there though) and then try to get back to sleep. It's just training to get ready for the middle of the night feedings again...

Hi Robin - praying for you and that the police do not have to do the delivery!

Robin said...

Papa - thanks I'd rather not have the police deliver the baby either or have to deal with getting the car cleaned...

Hi Sister,

I'm still praying for you and Bump.

Absolutely amazing pictures. Can you believe there is a life inside of you????? I so wish I could experience pregnancy as a Christian. I think I would've appreciated my pregnancies so much more.

Wishing you peace, a perfectly timed delivery, and more blessings than you could possibly hold!

Love you!!

Heather - Thanks so much for your love and prayers - both mean so much! Sometimes its shocking to watch the live sonogram and see the little one moving around and to see the difference in growth and development from earlier sonograms to now - absolutely amazing! Each pregnancy has been special and I've been in love with my children from the time I glanced at the positive pregnancy test (maybe even before).

Your so sweet Heather! Thanks!

I need to comment more - life is hectic right now. we're on the road for vacation right now. I pray for you and your pregnancy! :) God bless!! :) hopefully 'chat' more soon! :)

Oh how exciting to see the pictures of the baby!! But for security purposes, I think you should block out the eyes because I'd recognize this baby anywhere ;)
Be so blessed dear one.

Robin,
Thanks for sharing the sonogram pics. I am so happy for you and the baby that all is doing so well and both of you are healthy.
PRAISE GOD!
Working on any names yet????
Hugs,
Laura

Randi Jo - Thanks for stopping by and for your prayers! Yes, I look forward to chatting soon!

Life Adapted - You are so funny! I will take that into consideration next time. You know I don't post pictures of my kids unless they are really old pictures, so I've broken my own rules with this one... I might even post a baby picture (newborn) we shall see. I'll just make the baby wear a Zoro mask - haha

Laura - I guess this message means you are home! How did everything go with Daniel at Children's? I will try to call you tomorrow. Rick and the team take off in the morning. He's really excited! Keep him in your prayers!

Hi Danita - I'm so excited to share our pregnancies too. It's always fun to have pregnancy buddies. Praying for you and Kermit as you prepare your hearts and home for your little treasure!

Indian Lake Papa said...

How are you doing? Are you taking good care of my grand baby?? You be good now! I am praying that mama does not become one of your pregnancy buddies - sorry, just couldn't handle that! lol

Robin said...

Papa - thanks for your concern and prayers. Now why couldn't Mama be one of my pregnancy buddies? :) Abraham and Sarah were certainly a lot older than you when they were blessed with their son.

Indian Lake Papa said...

Don't even go there! if I see any angelic beings on my front porch this boy is locking the door. Thats why I have Caller ID as well!! lol If something ever happens to mama I will never remarry anyone named Sarah!

Robin said...

Papa, I know if you saw an angel on your front porch you'd run out there to see what the message from the Lord was and you'd even accept a baby if that was God's choice - I know it :) Somehow I doubt God would require that of you since He has you doing so many other projects in His name! Keep on loving and living for HIM!

I'm so looking forward to my next assignment in December. Thanks for your prayers!

Faith said...

Aww yay, thanks for sharing your baby pic! Lol at the person who said there are two or three babies in there. Heh heh ...

Robin said...

Mom - thanks for stopping by :) I'm glad you were able to print copies of the sonograms even though they aren't so good - they still represent your grandchild. When the sono technician handed me the first picture I said something about it being so blurry and then I mentioned that my sons sonogram picture looked very similar. He looked down at the little guy and said he turned out pretty well even though his sonogram was blurry and I'm sure this one will too. He was a neat guy!

Faith - thanks for stopping in to see the little one. I loved your sonogram pictures! Twins are such a gift. A friend of mine is due with twins on the same day I'm due. We are enjoying sharing our pregnancies and we are even going to have a joint shower at our church. One thing it will do having a joint shower is give the ladies back a Saturday because if we separated them by a couple weeks they'd have two Saturday afternoons spent at showers instead of with their families or grocery shopping, etc... So were hoping it will be a fun time.
