100 Days to Go...

Today marks 100 days until my due date - seems like forever away and tomorrow at the same time. I have so much to do before the baby joins us.

I had my doctor's appointment this morning and everything went perfectly. The doctor said everything was as it should be and that the baby had a nice strong heartbeat. I did find out that I will have another sonogram at about 35 weeks.

Last month I had some liver function tests that were a bit off, so I had to repeat the liver function test today. The doctor suggested that I might have gallstones and said she wanted to make sure that my levels didn't continue to increase. I just got the results a few minutes ago and nothing is elevated now! Praise the Lord! One part of the test showed that one level was a bit low, but I'm not sure what that means. It was low last time also and this time its lower still. I guess she will tell me in three weeks when I go back. In three weeks when I return I will be changed to an every two week cycle for my appointments because of starting the third trimester. When I go for my next appointment I also have to drink the orange flavored sugar water then check my glucose levels an hour later. Everything was perfect today! I took my eight year old daughter with me to the appointment and she was just fascinated with hearing the baby's heartbeat and being there for the appointment. The doctor made her feel like a special big sister too.

Please continue to pray for the precious little one (who loves to jump around and kick) and that the next 14 weeks are healthy for the bundle of joy and for me. Thanks!

Hi Robin-

I FINALLY got a chance to read your blog again. This is great! Glad to hear everything is going well with the pregnancy (sounds like you have an active little one too). I really can't wait to meet you in person.

I'm going to check out that Nancy Leigh DeMoss link. I love her ministry and even was blessed to meet her when she had her conference a couple of years ago down in Lynchburg.

Blessings & Take care,
Danita

Great checkup! You are in our prayers several times through the day - especially in the evening when we pray together. However, i must admit I am glad its you and not mama!

35 weeks until another sonogram? Wow...they take them after the baby is born also? Grin. You probably meant 3-5 weeks...but maybe I don't know?

Glad things are progressing so well, Robin. Life will be SO BUSY after the arrival of the little one, so enjoy these days with just two and you!

No Carol they take another sonogram at 35 weeks pregnant (which is about 9 weeks away) ;) Sorry to complicate it for you :)

Gotcha...I misread the sentence. Believe me, I easily get things mixed up!

I am so happy for you. God is good. How I am going to miss being pregnant and having a newborn again! We decided to make it permanent that we can't have any more kids...I know, some Christians disagree with that, but we felt strongly that it was time to focus on the 5 we do have. Blessings to you and little cherub!

Carol - no worries we all get confused - the other day I sent an email that was clear as MUD. I meant to type NOW and typed NOT and changed the meaning of the entire email - oops - luckily one of the two people I sent it to me emailed back that she got the message...and I was confused as to how she got that message until I pulled up my sent file... oops...

Jel - thanks for your kind words and prayers.

Renee - thanks stopping by :) You have a beautiful family. Love the picture with everyone on the grass - very cool!

Hi Danita - I missed your comment earlier too... I'm slipping...

I'm looking forward to meeting you too after all these years of corresponding online.

Neat about meeting Nancy Leigh DeMoss. Her work is challenging, but what we need!

I'm happy for you, Robin. From this side it seems the time is going quickly. Probably not so much for you. Enjoy the sweet baby.

Papa - you are cute :) I'm excited. Starting to wonder what the baby will look like and his or her personality, etc... Three months seems like forever, but I do feel like I've been pregnant forever too. But I enjoy feeling the baby move and thinking about the joys to come - and this is the easiest time in caring for a baby - no risk of forgetting it or changing a diaper too late - EXPLOSION or having to wash laundry again - think about the explosion... :) Of course I will do all of those things (except forget the baby somewhere). I'm excited!!!!

Queen - Time seems to be traveling both quickly and slowly. But when I look at my other two I'm reminded that it does pass quickly. Wasn't I pregnant with them just yesterday? Guess not because they are 8 and 5 years old. We can't lie to ourselves about the passage of time once we have children because they grow and change so much and so quickly. I'm excited!

Robin, I love living this with you through your posts. It makes me think of the times I was pregnant and going through the same things. I am praying for God's blessings on the remainder of your pregnancy and a special blessing for the anticipated arrival day.

Life Adapted - Thanks so much for sharing it with me! I'm trying to enjoy every moment as much as possible.

I'm going to email you some thoughts about the anticipated delivery day...something a close friend shared with me... very cool...

Thanks Ruthie :) We are excited!

Pray for us our basement flooded yesterday and I was up until 3am this morning...think I need a nap today. I borrowed a big fan and am hoping to borrow a dehumidifier today or tomorrow. I also borrowed a wet/dry vac... oh the fun. It would be bad enough not pregnant, but harder being pregnant. My husband had to work yesterday... He stayed home from church this morning and did some more work today, but has to leave for work again shortly...
