Special Prayer Request

Please keep me and the baby in your prayers. I fell in the church parking lot on Sunday (slipped on water). Then this morning I had bleeding and had to go into the doctor. She said the baby is okay, but that I have placenta previa. She wants me to do nothing for 3-4 days and to down scale my activities after that. She said that 90% of the time the placenta will correct itself.

I'm a very active person and I walk/jog 5 miles a day (six days a week). The doctor said jogging and running are now not an option for me and she wants me to walk slower than usual and to only exercise in 15 minute intervals. So if you see me misbehaving...tell me to stop it.

Keep us in your prayers!

Thanks,

Robin

You are doing this for someone else - behave! or papa will get a switch!

Papa is praying -
1) For the baby
2) For the big baby to behave!/

Robin, my prayers are with you, and may you trust God in this matter, and listen to your doctor! Do not give into worry or fret or anxiety...give it all over to Jesus and take hold of His hand. He knows ALL about it! Love you!

Robin,
I'm glad to hear that the baby is fine (although you seemed to be roughed up a bit!) and will be praying for a safe, uneventful delivery in the "fullness of time!"
Love, Renee

I'm praying, and I've got you up in prayer request box.

I can send you my manuscript to proof while you are lying around. :-) You are supposed to giggle.

Robin, you know I'm praying - you can catch up on all the physical activities when the baby comes, for such little creatures they sure keep you hopping! It's hard to switch gears from being so active, especially since walking/jogging is a discipline we train ourselves to do, but slowing down for the sake of the baby is far higher call. I know you'll do the right thing, it's what mother's do :) Be blessed

Thanks everyone for your prayers. I've had a super rough night. The doctor's office wants me to come in again - so I'm waiting for the kids to get dressed. Please keep praying for my little one and for me...

I'm home from the doctor now - the baby is fine. I'm supposed to rest, not do any housework, stay in the AC and keep my feet up. My next appointment is July 2. Please continue to pray. Thanks

I'll certainly pray for your precious baby and for you. This is a good time to relax and catch up on reading - and maybe write a diary of all the happenings in your day. Remember that the Lord is caring for you and your baby. And you'll have plenty of time to be active later!
Hugs.

Hi Jel and Everyone,

I don't want to be too horribly graphic on my blog, but I'm on modified bed rest until things improve. I was told to lay down most of the time, but that if I kept my feet up I could sit for a while. I was told not to use stairs, but I live in a three level townhouse and have to climb stairs to get in my home too. They told me to climb carefully and to do it only when necessary and to plan my trips. My shower is on the third level. I'm camping out in the living room on the main level (2nd) and trying not to go up and down to the basement or the bedrooms much.

I'm not allowed to be in the heat - supposed to stay in the AC... He said I can't even take the kids to the community pool - bummer since we just bought season passes... Also he said NO HOUSEWORK. Since I'm so active normally its a challenge, but I'm doing this for the baby not for me. I can resume normal activity later. I resigned myself to staying in my house until December if I have to, but I hope that won't be the case.

Thanks for your concern and ongoing prayer everyone. I will update as I get more info without grossing people out if I can manage. If you want more specific details leave me an email address and I will share more personally.

Thanks a million everyone!

Jessica,

The kids and I would have a blast if you were here - we'd laugh ourselves silly. The kids would have so much fun seeing and being with you again. You know one of them would have a blast doing WILD things to your hair. Love and miss you!

You don't know me - the connection is Jerri Phillips. Just read her prayer request for you, and I am on it. I got sent to bed when I was in the seventh month carrying my now-21-year-old daughter. Since my son had been born a full calendar month early, when I had threatening signs with her, I was literally escorted to my house. Well, Queen Bee, may you enjoy your reign from the couch, and God bless you and the new little "Bump". And all the rest of the family. Wow! NO housework! Now might be a good time to ask for a sketchpad and pencils... or some embroidery things... or a few good books and lots of lovely worship music.

Hey! My daughter was born in December, too!

Anyway, Lord, we ask for this little one to have a safe time in Robin's womb, and for Robin to remain safe as well. We ask for Your blessing on all the details involved in this very special time.

Robin dearest friend,

You Know I am praying...and so is the rest of our family.

I was placenta previa with Fletcher...full previa...I had to do the whole "scale" back.

My suggestions? Find some really good books, learn to knit or crochet or quilt and make sure you use those little kids' legs to run all your upstairs and downstairs.

IF you NEED anything....you know you can call on me. I may not live close, but I don't live THAT far away either!

Sorry to hear that! Praying for you and the little one. ((((Robin))))

Just letting you know that I am lifting you and your family up to the Father daily as I check your blog and read the comments others are leaving. I love those that tell you to get some good books to read. Finally...time to get lots of reading in!! God is in control, He knows where you are at, He knows what your children and baby need, and He will provide. You are the giver of all givers, and it has to be hard for you to be waited on...but God wants you to experience this...another way of fine tuning you in His image!

Hi. Just came by to check on you. My prayers are with you still. Do you have church friends who can come over and help with laundry etc? I'm sorry that your blogging friends are all so far away - we can't be much help. But we can pray - and that we are doing.
Hugs.

I will be praying! Let us know how you are!! Glad baby is ok!

Thank you all for your kind words and especially your prayers. A lady from my church brought me an absolutely delicious meal the other day - made my day! My best friend friend came over Saturday and spent the night while she and her daughter did some cleaning and vacuuming for me - so hard to just be still and let them do it... I wanted to be with them talking... Two ladies from church sent some DVDs home from church yesterday so I would have something to do while laying around...

Hi Robin, just stopped by to check on you. Sorry about the house rest, I did that too with my son. It's hard. I remember stepping outside and out of habit I bent down to pull a weed out of the garden, it was a big mistake. We don't realize how much we use our bodies until we can't. I am praying each night for you and your family. God is so pleased with all the offerings on your behalf. We are living this with you and desire so much for you and the baby to be happy and well. I hope you feel the stength of the prayers. Be blessed dear one.

Hi Robin, I just saw this. (I was looking for you on the internet **smile**). I will definitely be praying for you. Take care of yourself and your precious little baby. I know it's hard to take it easy, but yes, you must behave. :) Hang in there sweetie! Love & Hugs, Linda oxo
