Pray for Daniel

I go to church with a wonderful family and their precious miracle baby (who is no longer a baby) will be having brain surgery on Friday, February 1 at 7am Eastern time. Daniel was born very pre-maturely at 22 weeks and has struggled with several disabilities one of which is the seizures he deals with quite frequently. Daniel couldn't have been born into a more loving family. Each family member has a special kindness they show to him. Daniel and his family are blessings to each other and everyone they meet.

Daniel's mom shared:
The surgery is called corpus callosotomy. This procedure is being perfomed in the hopes that it will help control seizures. There is no guarantee that this procedure will stop the seizures, but this is Daniel's best chance at helping him right now. If we do not help him, his condition can become worse.

This past Sunday his mom, Laura sang Bring the Rain as pictures of Daniel played on the screen. Many difficult situations have come their way, but they continue to stand firm in Jesus and encourage others to do the same.

Please join with me to pray for little Daniel and his family!

Thank You!

Bring the Rain by Mercy Me

I can count a million times People asking me how I Can praise You with all that I've gone through The question just amazes me Can circumstances possibly Change who I forever am in You

Maybe since my life was changed Long before these rainy days It's never really ever crossed my mind To turn my back on you, oh Lord My only shelter from the storm But instead I draw closer through these times

So I pray

Bring me joy, bring me peace Bring the chance to be free Bring me anything that brings You glory And I know there'll be days When this life brings me pain But if that's what it takes to praise You Jesus, bring the rain

I am Yours regardless of The dark clouds that may loom above Because You are much greater than my pain You who made a way for me By suffering Your destiny So tell me what's a little rain

So I pray

Bring me joy, bring me peace Bring the chance to be free Bring me anything that brings You glory And I know there'll be days When this life brings me pain But if that's what it takes to praise You Jesus, bring the rain

Holy, holy, holy Holy, holy, holy Is the Lord God Almighty Is the Lord God Almighty

  6. Father God, I lift this precious little boy up to You today. I thank You for his creation and for the family that You gave him to. I pray for his mother as she watches her son and as she loves and prays for him daily. I ask for wisdom and guidance for the surgeons and the staff who will be assisting in the surgery.

Father, I ask for no pain for Daniel as he recovers. I ask for Your presence to be mighty in his room as people come and go. I ask for opportunities for Daniel's family to share all You are doing and are going to do on their behalf. And I pray that many would come to know You and be restored in relationship with You through this event.

Finally, I pray for Daniel to be made whole through this surgery, that the seizures would stop, and that he and his family will be flooded with Your joy.

    In Jesus' name, amen.

  7. As a young boy I struggled with multiple bouts of Rheumatic Fever so I know it is no fun to have to have patience with physical limitations when a boy would rather be out with the guys playing some game. I will be praying for you, Daniel, and your parents as you proceed through this
operation and recovery because I know our Father and Brother are able to bring about a complete and total healing.

Heavenly Father and Brother Jesus, You know Daniel's body because You
are the ones who created him. Thank You for giving Daniel such kind and loving parents. Bless the whole family with love, comfort and patience as they go through this operation and recuperation to a strength of body that will be the type of life You have designed Daniel to have. Praise Your names, Amen.

  10. Hi Robin,

I saw your prayer request on Tiffany's site.

Please know I will be praying on Friday morning too.

My son also had brain surgery, so I know the agony of sitting out in that waiting room.

God WILL be with them, and I'm going to believe this will help him out.

Let us know how he is doing!

  13. I love Daniel's picture. It has a quiet dignity that is important to share, I think. My heart goes out to your friends. This past week my 5 year old son was sick with a common virus, but he was so sick and so "absent" from us that I missed him and couldn't help but think of other parents out there struggling with the chronic and real pain and suffering of their children. I simply cannot imagine how they put one foot in front of the other, so graciously, every day. They are heroes.

We will be on our way out of town Friday, and I will remember Daniel and say a prayer for them all.

Thank you for visiting my blog today - I enjoyed getting to know you a tiny bit through your blog(s). I'm going to quickly browse your others before bedtime.

  15. Daniel and family,

    Isaiah 41:10 says:
10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

    Isaiah 43:2-3a
    2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
3 For I am the LORD, your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior...

Praying the Lord will give each of you His peace, which surpasses all understanding and that His will, will be done.

  16. Father God,

I plead for Daniel's life. He is yours. He is a gift. I pray for the surgeon's hands to be precise. Allow this procedure to help him not have seizures anymore. Heal him according to your will. Bring comfort to his family as they wait for him during surgery. Send forth your perfect peace. Use his life for your glory. In your name I pray,

    Amen

  17. Dear Loving Heavenly Father ....

I thank You for our precious Daniel. His sweet simplicity in the heart of a child can only be from You Father God. His gentle hugs are ever embracing, radiating deep from his tender little heart. His wonderful contagious laugh, so pure, full of carefree joy can "light up" a whole room of Your Love.

Father God, we thank You for Your gift of Daniel. It was not by accident Daniel "came through" this "far along" and is with us today. Thank you Father God for revealing Your goodness, Your Grace, and Your Love through our Daniel. Truly Father God, You have revealed Your Love toward us in Daniel's life.

Father God, as Daniel is in surgery we place him in your Loving Arms ... We trust You Dear Heavenly Father whatever the outcome may be for Daniel. Because You first loved us and revealed Your love for us .... we know You will work all things out for the greater good.

Heavenly Father, we pray for Your Providence to guide the surgeon, medical team, nurse, and hospital workers for Daniel. We pray for a miracle recovery for Daniel Heavenly Father. We pray for our families, friends, and all who may
. . . . to "bind together" with one another closer in the bond of love as more than ever ... hearts lifted, hopes abound, and Your mercy, grace, and healing of hearts, souls, minds, physical bodies Father God.

    Psalm 139:13 (NLT)
You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb.
    Psalm 139:14
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous-and how well I know it.
    Psalm 139:15
You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
    Psalm 139:16
You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
    Psalm 139:17
How precious are your thoughts about me, O God! They are innumerable!
    Psalm 139:18
I can't even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up in the morning, you are still with me!

Glory to God, our Everlasting Father in Christ Jesus . . .

    Blessings, Peace, and Love
    Amen . . .

  21. King Jesus,
You shed your blood for the healing of this precious boy. You took our beatings so that you could freely hold out healing. On Daniel's behalf we receive it. We wrap him in it just as you lay upon all believers the coat of rightouness. We place the mantel of healing on Daniel's body and command it to respond accordingly.

Father God, you are not a God of disorder but a God of peace. I command order to return to Daniel's brain. Command his brain to be at peace with itself. I command the dendrites, synapsis, and axioms to communicate corretly and for all electrical flow to be ordered. I command all thought processes to be correctly ordered. I stand against all chaos within Daniel's brain. I command all spirits of chaos and brokenness to flee never to return. I speak mental peace over Daniel, both physically and mentally.

Jesus, when your disciples asked who had sinned the parents or the man that he would be blind, you said it was neither. You said that man had been born that way so that your Father would be glorified. Daniel was born for your Father's glory. Glofiry yourself in Daniel. Let nothing stand in the way of the release of the power of Heaven and the fully glory of God being revealed.

We thank you for your power. We thank you for Daniel. We thank you for Daniel's parents and the strength you've given them. We ask that you would hear our petitions and grant them for your name sake.

Praise and glory be yours forever. We love you.

    Amen

God, we don't know this family, but I have already been blessed by them just by being on this site. Please grant there requests tomorrow for a perfect surgery and for this to take away the seizures of this precious boy just like you did in the Bible with a man who was having seizures. Steady the doctors hands and give them wisdom and blessing. Let them see You through this family and that many would come to know you through this.

  37. Your family will be in my prayers and thoughts as you go through the surgery and the recovery process.

Seizures are a difficult thing for a young child to go through and often are worsened the older a child is (bigger the child the more of him or her is to slam into something that could really hurt him, not to mention the seizure itself is particularly dangerous).

I used to have seizures as a child. I was one of the fortunate ones that outgrew them.

I found you through Nathan's blog.

    God Bless your family.
    Praise God for your family.

  39. Abba Father, Your word tells us where two or more are gathered that you will be with us. Thank you that as I gather here with anyone who reads these words that you are with us as we agree in prayers for Daniel. Lord as he and his family even now are being prepared for surgery I ask that you would not allow the enemy to come anywhere near them. Do not allow him to whisper lies and discouraging thougts into their minds. Do now allow the spirit of fear to grip them. Father calm them and prepare them for the long day that they are facing. I ask Lord that the best physicans and the best nursing staff will be working on Daniel. Give them wisdom and sound minds. Help them to do their jobs as unto you. Lord Jesus I pray that they will even be amazed at how easily this goes. Lord I ask for Daniel a quick recovery and that this surgery will be even more sucessful than his family could have ever imagined. Lord I thank you that you know Daniel well and created him in his mother's womb. Thank you that you love him even more than his family does and that you love them just as much. Reveal yourself in a mighty way today."
